Oroton began trading as Boyd Lane & Co in Sydney in 1938. Boyd Lane & Co specialised in importing luxurious and high quality fabrics from Europe to meet the need of the burgeoning fashion industry. The brand has since earned its reputation as the leading premium lifestyle accessory brand for men and women.
Didier Grossemy was appointed as a consultant to work with Oroton. It was soon realised that Oroton required a new website that would update the online presence of the brand and also needed to introduce the functionality of selling online using an e-commerce platform.
The process began with the initial design. Didier Grossemy wanted the initial design when implemented, be a powerful medium in driving sales to an online market. Being product driven and encouraging online visitors to subscribe to the O-List were equally as important as reflecting the Oroton brand personality and dedication to quality products and customer service.
The agreed design was then integrated with an e- commerce platform that was customisable in order to allow for the many and varied requirements of Orotons eTailing venture.
Additional requirements such as “Gifting”, multiple shipping addresses, and automation of the order distribution process, required extensive customisation and development of a customised solution to deliver a website which could now be considered as another member on the list of Orotons retail boutiques.
The result that Didier Grossemy achieved for the Oroton brand enabled the website to be a fluid component of the brand, growing and adapting to customers’ needs and the ever changing fashion and retail industries.
Along with a state of the art e-commerce platform and email marketing tool that was implemented, Oroton was able to take a more autonomous role in updating content on static pages, sending and reporting on email campaigns, and most importantly to dynamically update the available products in the Online store itself. |
